Black and Mobile was launched in February of 2019 in order to deliver the culture to people in Philadelphia. The startup has turned a lot of heads and delivered a lot of plates to hungry diners in Philly, over the past year. Now Black and Mobile is delivering the culture in its second city, Detroit. Given the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the timing couldn’t be better.
There are currently 26 restaurants in Philadelphia listed on Black and Mobile’s website. When the business first started, according to its founder, not many business owners were interested. The company’s fate shifted when one popular restaurant in Philly — Country Cookin — gave him a shot and that’s when things began to turn. The tremendous growth signaled that it was time for expansion and now Detroit is online. The company’s website lists 14 Black owned restaurants in Detroit and that number will continue to grow, also.
Black and Mobile is providing a valuable service to consumers, while creating revenue and exposure for Black restaurants who sorely need it. For many Black restaurant owners, marketing budgets are tight and so Black and Mobile is creating tremendous value by exposing customers to their offerings. The platform is also giving consumers access to the foods they want, even if they don’t happen to live close by: Black and Mobile has a delivery range of several miles.
You can download the Black and Mobile app or place orders on the company’s website. You may be quarantined inside of your home but that doesn’t mean that you can’t eat great food, from a Black owned restaurant. Black and Mobile is delivering the culture, fast.
