Black Owned Toilet Paper Brand Saving Environment & Creating Change

We are flushing our future right down the toilet, literally. The equivalent of 270,000 trees are flushed down the drain daily, in the form of toilet paper. Paper mills are also the third-largest contributor to global warming. Our use of toilet tissue is killing our planet but a Black owned company is offering a dynamic solution: bamboo. Ultra Kosmic 9 makes soft, pesticide-free toilet paper from the pulp of bamboo grass. Ultra Kosmic 9 is providing families with an essential staple that is affordable and ultimately, will help bring about a more sustainable future.

Bamboo is one of the most sustainable plants on earth. It grows rapidly and is easily replenished, maturing in only three years. Producing bamboo tissue doesn’t require any irrigation or pesticides. It’s 100 percent biodegradable, meaning there are no harsh chemicals like BPA or de-inking agents used in the manufacturing process. Also, the bamboo used to create toilet tissue isn’t the same source that animals use for food so there’s no negative impact to wildlife. Bamboo tissue represents a powerful and yet easy solution to the tough environmental problems we face. It’s also, however, really good quality tissue. Soft and absorbent, Ultra Kosmic 9 toilet tissue doesn’t require consumers to trade quality for environmental sustainability.

Ultra Kosmic 9 is a family owned and operated company based in East Orange, New Jersey. The company launched operations just ahead of the onset of Covid-19. The founder, Christion Sims, had no clue at 29-years-old that he would have to guide a toilet paper company through a pandemic, when toilet paper shortages were widespread. Sims has handled it all in stride, focusing on customer service and ensuring each order goes out the door on time. In a time when even older companies have struggled to keep up with panic buying, Ultra Kosmic 9 has kept up with the onslaught of orders, continued to create jobs and plan for the future. Consumers have taken notice of this emerging powerhouse of a company and having been in business less than a year, Ultra Kosmic 9 has barely even begun to shake up the industry.

There is evidence that if bamboo were planted on a mass scale, the effects of global warming could be drastically mitigated. While hardwood trees take several decades to reach full height, bamboo only needs three to five years. Ultra Kosmic 9 offers every single household the realistic possibility of preserving the planet, simply by wiping. Ultra Kosmic 9 also offers individuals the opportunity to invest in creating jobs for Black people. This company is dynamic, necessary and offers a premium product at a competitive price. Bamboo is the future and Ultra Kosmic 9 is brining it to us now.
