Many people are unaware of the fact that Kelis studied culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. This is where she developed a desire to bring the freshest and healthiest food to the table. Her primary reason for purchasing a farm as stated in Architectural Digest, is to have more control over what her family consumes. This is particularly important for African American households as we are a group of people who rely on other groups of people to feed us (I.E. lack of grocery store ownerships). Black people have always been a farming people and slowly but surely we are returning back to our agricultural roots. Kuddos to Kelis and her family. Everyone with the ability follow suit, absolutely should.]]>
