Hendrix Lives Since Jimi Hendrix’s birthday was last month, you’re probably wondering why I’m still writing about him. Reason being, I have some crucial information pertaining to Hendrix that you need to know. Take note of the following list of albums that any true Hendrix enthusiast needs. Jimi Hendrix, Valleys Of Neptune, People Hell And Angels, Both Sides of the Sky, new album

Valleys Of Neptune

In 2010, Experience Hendrix LLC. posthumously released Jimi Hendrix’s album, ‘Valleys of Neptune’. This album consists of 12 never before released tracks. Some of the songs were different versions of covers which Hendrix had recorded such as, ‘Bleeding Heart’ and his original track, ‘Hear My Train A ‘Comin’.’ The album consists of classic Hendrix with the remastered sounds of today’s technology. That combo added to the overall quality of the album. In an interview regarding his music, Hendrix stated, “I want to be the first man to write about the [B]lues scene on Venus” With this album, the first installment of this enigmatic and interstellar trilogy, Hendrix rerouted and wrote about Neptune’s Blues scene. People, Hell And Angels

Three years following the release of ‘Valleys of Neptune’ in 2013, the second installment was released. ‘People, Hell And Angels’ was unlike most other sequels. Where most sequels never live up to their predecessors, Hendrix’s sequel did not disappoint. ‘People, Hell and Angels’ is the perfect follow-up to ‘Valleys of Neptune’. This album is presumably difficult to top, even for Hendrix. The tracks on ‘People, Hell And Angels’ are so pristine — from ‘Somewhere’ showcasing Hendrix’s gritty funk and outstanding use of the Wah Wah pedal to his mellow clarity on ‘Villanova Junction Blues’ — until it seems near impossible to top. But then you realize that it’s Jimi Hendrix we’re talking about; he’ll top it. Jimi Hendrix, Both Sides Of The Sky, Valleys Of Neptune, People Hell And Angels, Band Of Gypsys, new album

Both Sides Of The Sky

The third installment of the greatest trilogy since Star Wars (episodes one through three — not the latest trilogy), ‘Both Sides of the Sky’. Associated Press published an article about ‘Both Sides of the Sky’, set to release on March 9th, 2018. According to Eddie Kramer, the Sound Engineer who worked on all of Hendrix’s albums stated that this would be the last installment of the trilogy. Although the news about ‘Both Sides of the Sky’ being the final installment is a bit sad, it’s also thrilling. ‘Both Sides of the Sky’ will feature 13 songs, 10 of which have never been heard before. And one can deduct that these tracks will be even more soulful than the tracks on ‘People, Hell And Angels’ because these tracks were recorded by the Band Of Gypsys. Jimi Hendrix, Band Of Gypsys, Valleys Of Neptune, People Hell And Angels, Both Sides Of The Sky, new album For reference, listen to Jimi Hendrix’s fourth album ‘Band Of Gypsys’. It’s a live album featuring Billy Cox on Bass, Buddy Miles on Drums, and the one and only Jimi Hendrix on Guitar. This should give you an idea of what kind of music to expect from ‘Both Sides of the Sky’. When March 9th, 2018 hits, look for me. I’ll be on ‘Both Sides of the Sky’ vibin’ to the heavy sounds of Jimi Hendrix and his Band Of Gypsys.
