Now I know that White people feel that EVERYTHING belongs to them, but not this, not him, not ever. Martin Luther King Jr. was for Black people. However, over the years there has been a constant hijacking of his legacy through mainstream media. It’s sickening. As a little girl, my father showed me pictures of Martin Luther King Jr. and said, I want you to see that he is Black, because in a few years, they’ll make him lighter and lighter until he’s White. Thats exactly whats happening to his legacy from the inside out. Use Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, hell even Donald Trump to sell Dodge trucks. But don’t ever use the voice of our King! And Dodge you can save the halfhearted apology… because I know it’s coming. Martin Luther King Jr. did not go to the mountaintop for this disgrace.]]>
