When skincare products can affect everything from your emotional to physical health, it’s important to only use products with natural, non-toxic ingredients. Body and Soul Naturally offer skincare and wellness products your body (and health) will love.
“Good skin is critical for healthy living both emotionally and physically. Educating ourselves on the importance of healthy skin is more vital today than ever before. What we put on our skin is just as important as what we put in our body; as both affect the well-being of our entire body,” owner Nicole Lawson emphasized.
Lawson founded the brand after her aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, which started under the armpit in her lymph nodes. “When going through chemo, doctors told her to stop the use of antiperspirants. When she shared that information with me, I was really alarmed.”
After the ominous warning from her aunt’s oncologist, Lawson immediately stopped wearing antiperspirants. She did some research, and after trying a few natural deodorant brands, Lawson became confident that she could produce her own.
Body and Soul Naturally launched in 2017 with two products: natural, aluminum-free deodorant and shea butter. Both were crafted with Black skin in mind, especially the shea butter, which we know has been used by Black people across the diaspora for years. The brand’s Whipped Shea Butter is blended with essential oils for deep hydration and comes in scents like Egyptian musk and lavender. The Nourishing Body Oil is formulated with organic oils like coconut, argan, grapeseed, olive, and rosehip, which all help hydrate and nurture your skin.
Body and Soul Naturally also carries organic soaps, like their best-selling Activated Charcoal Face and Body Cleanser, which is lightly scented and specially designed for facial cleansing as it includes oils that are great for acne.
All of Body and Soul Naturally’s products are cruelty-free and crafted with natural, organic ingredients that are free of any harmful, cancer-causing chemicals.
