Caribbrew is a Black-owned coffee, tea, and chocolate company that offers customers premium products sourced and produced in Haiti.
While you can always order all of Caribbrew’s products online or pick up their coffees in select Sprouts grocery stores nationwide, if you’re traveling to this year’s Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans, LA (July 1-3, 2022), you’ll be able to pick up Caribbrew’s best-selling coffees, teas, chocolate products, and skincare in person at the Marketplace (Booth 3101).
Caribbrew’s premium coffees are sold as whole and ground beans and you can choose from three flavor options of medium roast, dark roast, and Caribbean Spiced Coffee, which is also available as a cold brew.
The Caribbrew teas include The Golden Latte (made with Haitian Turmeric and Ginger), Hibiscus Sorrel Tea, and Lemon Grass Mint Tea. Caribbrew’s chocolate selection features Haitian cacao nibs and a premium hot chocolate mix made from Haitian cacao.
The brand is a favorite of actress Gabrielle Union who recently featured Caribbrew’s products in her Amazon Gift Guide. Union raved about one of the brand’s skincare products, the Coconut Rum – Moisturizing Haitian Coffee Scrub and she also expressed her love for the company’s mission.
Caribbrew was created by entrepreneur Beverly Malbranche, a native of Haiti, who started the business with two goals in mind: to highlight Haitian coffee, tea, and chocolate and to revive a once-thriving industry on the island.
“I started Caribbrew to create sustainable economic opportunities within the country; to alleviate poverty and establish a fair trade market for our goods,” said Malbranche.
Caribbrew’s business model is direct trade, meaning the brand has direct relationships with its farmers who produce their coffee and other products. This model ensures that the farmers get a fairer share of the profits because it eliminates any intermediaries.
Caribbrew is also proud to say that its supply chain is 100% Black-owned. So, you can enjoy their coffees, teas, hot chocolates, and body products with confidence that your dollars are recirculating in Black communities across the diaspora.
